2013 Photography Plans

I’m back after my new year get away in the woods.

Whilst I was away I thought a lot about what direction I wanted to take my photography, and this blog.

I’ve decided its film all the way for me!

The D2Xs is up for sale. I plan to reinvest the money into a scanner upgrade and a big pile of film.

35mm, 120 and Polaroids. Black & White and Colour. I will use and review a plethora of different films in different cameras.

I wont be one of those anti-digital guys though, I like using digital cameras, but I prefer film.

As for equipment, I will do more in depth reviews of my current kit, any new kit I get, plus beg, borrow and steal rare or interesting cameras from my friends.

Speaking of new gear, I got this little gem for Christmas, and look forward to putting some films through it on the streets of London soon.

Of course, it wont just be gear geekery, I plan to review photobooks and I will continue with my personal street photography work too.

Also, fear not bokeh fans, the Nikon 50mm 1.4D is not for sale and will continue to produce some lovely, creamy, bokeh goodness.

I’m feeling good about this new direction and I hope you all enjoy the results.

  1. Yes! They’re exactly my plans too. I got a Diana F+ plus for Christmas and I’m gonna do some experimenting with this old Nikon I have.
I’m looking forward to seeing what pictures you’ll come up with on here :)

  2. Congrats on getting the epic for Christmas, i heard nice things about them. Also glad to hear you’re going all the way with film in 2013, it will be exciting.

  3. Congrats to an excellent decision! :-)
I did that choice about a year ago, and this summer I sold my Canon 7D with all the lenses and stuff, and I have not regretted it for a second. It was a great camera, but I do not miss it at all. Film is my choice too! :-)
